Where's The Gold?

A member of the Inca tribe finds gold.

The Spanish capture him and they say through an interpreter, "If he doesn't tell us where the gold is, we are going to burn both his feet at the stakes."

He answers through the interpreter, "I'd rather die than tell them where the gold is."

The Spanish takes the guy out and burns his feet off. Now they say to the interpreter, "Tell him if he doesn't tell us where the gold is, we are going to hang him on a noose out there."
He says through the interpreter, "I'd rather die than tell them where the gold is."

They take him out and they hang him until he can hardly breathe. They bring him in again. They say, "If he doesn't tell us where the gold is hidden, we're going to turn him inside out," through the interpreter.

The Inca in agony, told them through the interpreter, "Tell them the gold is seven steps from here, hidden under a tree."

So the interpreter says to the Spaniards, "He'd rather die than tell you where the gold is!"
